where the wolves play and people should keep away...
Run wild

Sophia - wolf
She'd sprinted away from the log, running freely through the undergrowth, having no idea where she was going. Branches pulled at her coat but that added to the thrill, her muscles stretching out as her skin came alive. Leaping over another small fallen tree trunk she landed in the leaf litter on the other side, skittering a little to keep her balance. Her pulse was racing, breath rapid as she looked around. Her eyes darted from one thing to another, the images familiar, but the vision so different. Blinking for a moment she lowered her head and sniffed. The sound of Luke approaching, following, made her look around in his direction, tongue lolling out as she panted softly.

When she'd taken off Luke had let her run away from him in order to admire her smoothness and beauty. It had taken almost no time at all for her to adjust to four paws instead of two feet. She moved through the woods as if she'd been born to them.

As she disappeared from his line of sight he took off after her following his ears and nose to where she stood, sniffing the ground. As she looked up at him he barked, then yipped, approaching her as he did so.

Once he was close enough he buried his snout in her luxurious fur and then licked her neck, moving away again to watch her, wondering what she might do next.

She leaned into his nuzzling, not even aware of how easily she accepted it, welcome it even, in her wolfen form. It was almost like she expected it, and would have been disappointed at anything less.

With a small sideways jump she returned the yip, tail whipping from side to side for a moment before she turned her head from side to side, testing the slight stirring of the breeze. There was the scent of others. Wolves. And others. Already the scent of Luke was embedded in her mind and senses, and would be, as her lover, the one who'd helped her flip. Brought her to this world.

But the curiosity was overwhelming, and the urge to explore, track, follow the scents that were all crowding in on her. She threw a look over her shoulder at Luke, another small throaty sound sent his way before she started trotting along the path, head down and moving from side to side as she started to 'read' what was the hstory of this part of the earth. There was something drawing her on, and she didn't have a clue what it was, but she wanted to find out.

As she took off again Luke let out another howl, enjoying himself as he hadn't in a long time as he watched her scamper through the forest.

He followed at a more leisurely pace, content to let her explore and get used to her new environment. Nothing mattered to him right now other than Sophia. Even Ruby was an afterthought as he relished this experience with his mate.

The way she was headed would lead her to the normal wolf pack that congregated in this area and he wondered what she'd do when she came upon them.

With a glance over her shoulder to check Luke was there, Sophia kept moving. At one point she stretched out into a long strided trot, halting as she came to an area that seemed to be riddled with scents, strange and unfamiliar. She lifted her head, nose testing the air. But it wasn't the scent that was calling her forward. It was something else, and while her nose was picking up other wolves, and creatures of the forest, something completely different was pulling her on, almost calling to her. Again she started forward once she felt Luke at her side, a nervous excitement in her.

Luke pulled to a stop as he reached Sophia, his eyes searching her face as he waited for her next move. She was sensing something and it wasn't the other wolves. It was the Ley Lines, You feel it don't you?

He yipped again, his head jerking in the direction where the sensation would be the strongest, the most powerful. Then he trotted in that direct, turning back to make sure she was following him.

She stopped and turned to see Luke heading off in a different direction, checking to make sure she was going with him. She was still getting used to the strange feeling of being drawn on, but trusted him. She bounded after him, almost as if her muscles had been given a jolt, leaves skittering out from under her paws, until she reached Luke's shoulder. She automatically matched her stride to his, despite the pull to run ahead.
